Klarotadin

Klarotadin – a blocker _{of N1-}of histamine receptors, antiallergic means.

Form of release and structure

• Tablets: a ploskotsilindrichesky form, white or almost white color, with a facet (on 7 pieces in packagings planimetric cell, in a pack cardboard 1 packaging; on 10 pieces in packagings planimetric cell, in a pack cardboard 1 or 3 packagings);
• Syrup: transparent, from light yellow till yellow color, with weak fruit aroma (on 100 ml in dark glass bottles, in a pack a cardboard 1 bottle complete with a measured spoon).

Active agent – лоратадин:

• 1 tablet – 10 mg;
• 1 ml of syrup – 1 mg.

Excipients of tablets: cellulose microcrystallic, lactoses monohydrate, carboxymethylstarch of sodium, calcium stearate.

Additional components of syrup: the benzoic acid, propylene glycol, the citric acid, sucrose, water purified ethanol of 96%, fragrance orange, dye tropeolin O.

Indications to use

• Small tortoiseshell (including chronic idiopathic);
• Seasonal and/or year-round rhinitis (including pollinosis);
• Pruritic dermatosis;
• Allergic conjunctivitis;
• The pseudo-allergic reactions caused by release of a histamine;
• Quincke's edema;
• Allergic reaction to stings of insects.

Contraindications

• Pregnancy;
• Lactation;
• Children's age up to 2 years;
• Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Klarotadin it is necessary to apply with care at treatment of patients with a liver failure.

Route of administration and dosage

Drug is accepted inside.

The recommended doses:

• Adults and children are more senior than 12 years: on 10 mg (on 1 tablet or 2 measured spoons of syrup) 1 time a day;
• Children of 2-12 years: with body weight it is less than 30 kg – on 5 mg (on 1/2 tablets or 1 measured spoon of syrup) 1 time a day, with body weight is more than 30 kg – on 10 mg of 1 times a day.

To patients with abnormal liver functions or a renal failure (the glomerular filtration rate is lower than 30 ml/minute) Klarotadin appoint 10 mg every other day.

Side effects

• Central and peripheral nervous system: an adynamy, uneasiness, a tremor, a dysphonia, a nictitating spasm, drowsiness, a hyperkinesia, a depression, paresthesias, excitement (at children), amnesia;
• Alimentary system: dyspepsia, lock or diarrhea, gastritis, anorexia, meteorism, taste change, stomatitis, increase in appetite;
• Respiratory system: xeromycteria, cough, sinusitis, bronchospasm;
• Musculoskeletal system: mialgiya, arthralgia, dorsodynia, spasms of gastrocnemius muscles;
• Urinary system: painful desires on an urination, urine discoloration;
• Reproductive system: vaginitis, menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, mammary gland pain;
• Metabolism: thirst, the increased sweating, increase in body weight;
• Cardiovascular system: increase or lowering of arterial pressure, stethalgia, cardiopalmus;
• Sense bodys: conjunctivitis, vision disorder, eye and ears pain;
• Dermatological and allergic reactions: photosensitization, itch, dermatitis, urticaria, fever, fever, Quincke's disease.

Special instructions

During treatment it is necessary to refrain from control of vehicles and performance of potentially dangerous types of the works demanding the speed of reactions and special attention.

Medicinal interaction

Inductors of a microsomal oxidation (barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, rifampicin, зиксорин, phenylbutazone, Phenytoinum, ethanol) reduce efficiency of a loratadin.

Erythromycin, кетоконазол and Cimetidinum promote increase in concentration of a loratadin in a blood plasma, however it has no clinical value, does not exert impact on these electrocardiograms.

Applied in therapeutic doses лоратадин has no exponential effect on ethanol.

Terms and storage conditions

To store in the place, unavailable to children, protected from moisture at a temperature: tablets – to 25 ºС, syrup – 12-15 ºС.

Period of validity of tablets – 4 years, syrup – 3 years.
