Kollomak
Application instruction:
Kollomak – outside drug with antimicrobic and keratolytic action.
Form of release and structure
Kollomak produce in the form of solution for external use (10 ml in dark glass bottles complete with a cover small brush, on 1 bottle in a cardboard pack).
Active agents are a part of 10 g of solution:
- Salicylic acid – 2 g;
- Polidokanol 600 - 0,2;
- Lactic acid – 0,5 g.
Indications to use
Kollomak appoint at treatment of warts, callosities, callosities, keratinizations of skin, sharp-pointed condylomas (including the classical huge and flattened Bushke-Levenstein's condylomas), a hyperkeratosis at psoriasis (including palmar and bottom).
Contraindications
- Chest age;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components, and also to salicylates.
Route of administration and dosage
Kollomak apply outwardly.
Solution (1 drop) should be applied on the struck skin sites. Frequency rate of use – 1-2 times a day. At giperkeratoza of feet (callosity) and bottom warts the therapeutic effect is strengthened by a heat foot bath.
The maximum dose of Kollomak for adults makes 10 ml a day (there correspond 2 g of salicylic acid). As a rule, in 3-4 days (after acceptance of a heat foot bath) it is possible to remove callosities and callosities.
The maximum daily dose of solution of Kollomak for children makes 1 ml (there correspond 0,2 g of salicylic acid). It is impossible to allow excesses of the specified dose. At treatment of children at the same time it is not necessary to process several sites.
Duration of therapy is established individually proceeding from efficiency of drug, however at use of the maximum daily dose it should not exceed 7 days. In case of need the medical course can be repeated.
It is impossible to allow Kollomak's contact with mucous membranes and eyes. To avoid damage of the fabrics surrounding the center of defeat, before putting solution it is necessary to apply zinc paste on them.
The bottle with drug after use should be closed well.
Side effects
In rare instances at Kollomak's use can arise the local irritation of skin which is shown in the form of reddening and burning.
At contact with drug skin allergic reactions can sometimes be observed.
Special instructions
To apply Kollomak's solution on pilar warts, birthmarks, the wart in a face or genitals does not follow.
Drug is not recommended to be used the patient with functional disturbances of kidneys (renal failure). At such patients use of medicines with the content of salicylates is possible only with extra care.
It is impossible to allow Kollomak's hits on mucous membranes, especially in eyes. In case of such incident the respective site needs to be washed out a large amount of water.
Use of solution during pregnancy is admissible only when drawing it on the small skin site (no more than 5 cm ²). At Kollomak's use by the feeding women it is necessary to avoid accidental reception of solution by the baby (through contact with the processed body surfaces of mother).
