Okumetil
Application instruction:
Okumetil – the combined means for topical administration in ophthalmology with antiseptic, antiallergic, vasoconstrictive, antiinflammatory action.
Form of release and structure
Dosage form – drops eye: transparent liquid of blue color (on 5 or 10 ml in plastic bottles droppers, in a cardboard pack 1 bottle).
Content of active agents of Okumetil in 1 ml of drops:
- Zinc sulfate – 1 mg;
- Naphazoline a hydrochloride – 1 mg;
- Difengidramina a hydrochloride – 1 mg.
Auxiliary components: a gipromelloza 4000, citric acid, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, a benzalkoniya chloride, sodium hydroxide, dye blue methylene, the water distilled.
Indications to use
- Angular conjunctivitis;
- Conjunctivitis also blefarokonjyunktivit an allergic etiology;
- Chronic form of a blefarokonjyunktivit and nonspecific conjunctivitis;
- Irritation of tissues of eye – for reduction of reddening, an itch, symptoms of feeling of a foreign body.
Contraindications
- Syndrome of a dry eye;
- Closed-angle glaucoma;
- Arterial hypertension;
- Coronary heart disease;
- Bronchial asthma;
- The stenosing stomach ulcer and a duodenum;
- Prostate hyperplasia;
- Bladder neck stenosis;
- Pheochromocytoma;
- Diabetes mellitus;
- Hyperfunction of a thyroid gland;
- Severe form of atherosclerosis;
- Epilepsy;
- Period of pregnancy and breastfeeding;
- Age up to 2 years;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
With care it is necessary to appoint Okumetil at simultaneous use of the monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO) and other medicines promoting increase in arterial pressure.
Route of administration and dosage
Eye drops apply locally, digging in in a conjunctival sac of the affected eye.
The recommended dosing: on 1 drop 2-3 times a day.
In the absence of notable decrease in symptoms of pathology after three days of therapy, Okumetil's use it is necessary to stop and see a doctor.
Side effects
- From an organ of sight: easy burning at an instillation, allergic reactions, a reactive hyperemia, sight misting, hypostasis of a mucous membrane of an eye, a mydriasis, accommodation paresis, numbness and dryness of a mucous membrane of an eye, increase in intraocular pressure;
- Others: perhaps – drowsiness, nausea, a headache, dizziness, weakness, tachycardia, a photosensitization, increase in arterial pressure, a lack of coordination of movements, decrease in psychomotor reactions.
At patients with an aphakia emergence of the central scotoma and development of a maculopathia is possible, at drug withdrawal involution of symptoms is observed.
Special instructions
It is recommended to avoid contact of a pipette with any surface, after each use densely to close a bottle.
At control of vehicles and mechanisms it is necessary to consider possible decrease in visual acuity within 10-15 minutes after an instillation of eyes.
Medicinal interaction
It is not recommended to appoint drugs for stimulation of the central nervous system along with Okumetil as this combination can mutually reduce therapeutic effect.
Beta adrenoblockers, MAO inhibitors strengthen effect of drug therefore it is possible to start use of drops only in 10 days after the treatment termination by MAO inhibitors.
It is not necessary to appoint local anesthetics in combination with drops.
Pharmaceutical drug is incompatible with protargol, Ichthyolum, silver salts or lead, citral, quinine, shchelochnoreagiruyushchy substances.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in the unavailable to children, protected from light place at a temperature of 15-25 °C.
Period of validity – 3 years.
After opening of a bottle of a drop are suitable for use no more than 1 month.
