Pimafutsin

Pimafutsin – the antifungal half-yen antibiotic from group of macroleads having preferential fungicidal effect.

Form of release and structure

• The tablets covered with a kishechnorastvorimy cover: a round form, almost white or white color (on 20 tablets in dark glass bottles, 1 bottle in a pack cardboard);
• Cream for external use of 2%: from white till light yellow color (on 30 g in aluminum or plastic tubas, 1 tuba in a pack cardboard);
• Suppositories vaginal: a torpedo-shaped form, from white-yellowish till light brownish-yellow color (on 3 pieces in strips from aluminum foil, 1 or 2 strips in a pack cardboard).

Active agent – натамицин:

• 1 tablet – 0,1 g;
• 1 g of cream – 0,02 g;
• 1 suppository – 0,1 g.

Additional components of tablets:

• Excipients: K30 povidone, potato starch, lactoses monohydrate, magnesium stearate;
• Structure of a cover: methylparahydroxybenzoate, sucrose, titanium dioxide, gelatin, acacias gum, kaolin, talc, white beeswax, calcium carbonate, triacetin, целлацефат.

Cream excipients: decyloleate (цетиол V), methylparahydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate, wax cetylradio, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, the water purified.

Excipients of suppositories: fat firm, Natrii hydrocarbonas, sorbitan trioleate, cetyl alcohol, adipic acid, polysorbate 80.

Indications to use

For tablets:

• Intestines candidiasis;
• Acute atrophic and acute pseudomembranous candidiasis at immune insufficiency or a cachexia, and also after therapy by cytostatics, antibiotics or corticosteroids;
• Candidiases of skin and mucous membranes (including vulvita, a mycotic vulvovaginitis and a vulvovaginitis) – for sanitation of an intestinal tank of mushrooms of the sort Candida.

For cream – the fungus diseases of mucous membranes and skin caused by activators, sensitive to a natamitsin, including:

• The outside otitis caused by mushrooms or complicated by candidiasis;
• Candidiasis of skin and nails;
• Dermatomycoses;
• Vulvita, the vaginita, balanoposthites, a vulvovaginitis caused by Candida.

For suppositories – the fungus diseases of mucous membranes of generative organs caused preferential by sort Candida mushrooms:

• Vulvita;
• Vaginita;
• Vulvovaginitis.

Contraindications

Pimafutsin's use is contraindicated at hypersensitivity to his components.

Route of administration and dosage

The recommended doses:

• Intestines candidiasis: adults – on 0,1 g 4 times a day, children – on 0,1 g 2 times a day. Duration of treatment averages 7 days;
• Persistent current of the vaginit caused by Candida mushrooms (in a combination with local antifungal drug, for example, suppositories Pimafutsin): on 0,1 g 4 times a day within 10-20 days.

Duration of a course of therapy is established individually. It is necessary to continue treatment some more days after disappearance of clinical symptoms of a disease.

External use cream
In this dosage form Pimafutsin it is necessary to apply on the struck areas 1-4 times a day.

At mycosis of outside acoustical pass before putting cream it is necessary to clear ears, and after drug use – to place in acoustical pass a tampon from natural material (cotton or wool).

At persistent and recurrent infections treatment by cream can be added with tablets.

Suppositories vaginal
Pimafutsin it is necessary to enter deeply into a vagina, in a prone position, on 1 suppository of 1 times a day for the night, treatment duration – 3-6 days.

At a persistent current of vaginit suppositories apply in a combination with tablets Pimafutsin (on 1 tablet 4 times a day within 10-20 days). For treatment of candidosis defeats of generative organs of the partner use cream Pimafutsin.

Side effects

• At use of tablets: nausea and diarrhea (usually arise in the first days of treatment and pass independently at therapy continuation);
• At use of cream and suppositories: burning sensation, slight irritation.

Special instructions

1 tablet of Pimafutsin contains 66 mg of lactose of monohydrate and 122 mg of sucrose. Before use of drug in this dosage form surely patients should consult with the doctor with rare inborn intolerance of galactose/fructose, sakharazno-izomaltazny insufficiency, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption, deficit of lapp lactase.

Suppositories should not be applied during periods.

To exclude sexual contacts during treatment by suppositories there is no need. However it is necessary to conduct examination of both sexual partners and to conduct a therapy course in case of identification of candidosis defeat. Besides, it is necessary to use barrier contraceptives.

Pimafutsin does not influence the speed of reactions and ability to concentration of attention.

According to indications drug can be used during pregnancy and a lactation.
