Pneumofibrosis

Pneumofibrosis is called growth in easy for connecting fabric, occurring as a result of dystrophic or inflammatory process. The pneumofibrosis of lungs leads to disturbance of their elasticity and insufficiency of gas exchange functions of affected areas.Пневмофиброз - разрастание соединительной ткани в легких

Types and reasons of a pneumofibrosis

On prevalence the disease is divided into a diffusion pneumofibrosis and local (limited).

The pneumofibrosis of lungs local represents the dense site of pulmonary fabric. At the same time the volume of the affected lung is reduced. At a diffusion pneumofibrosis lungs are reduced in volume, dense. The normal structure of lungs at the same time is lost.

The pneumofibrosis limited not too influences mechanical properties of lungs and their gas exchange functions. And here at a diffusion disease normal ventilation of the lungs significantly decreases.

As a rule, the pneumofibrosis is a consequence of various diseases of lungs, namely:

  • chronic obstructive diseases;
  • invasive and infectious diseases (the pneumonia including which arose after syphilis, tuberculosis, mycoses, etc.);
  • the diseases arising owing to impact on an organism of gases of an industrial origin and aggressive dust, inhalation of various toxic agents;
  • hereditary pulmonary diseases.

Quite often the pneumofibrosis of lungs is a consequence of impact on them toxic medicines or ionizing radiation.

Pneumofibrosis symptoms

The pneumofibrosis local can proceed asymptomatically.

The main symptom of a pneumofibrosis diffusion is an asthma which is inclined to progress over time. Often an asthma is followed by the severe dry cough amplifying at intensive breath. The general weakness of an organism, the aching breast pains, decrease in body weight, constant feeling of fatigue belong to other symptoms of a pneumofibrosis. If at the patient basal departments of lungs are struck, then it leads to formation of so-called fingers of Hippocrates.

At late stages of a disease at patients the so-called popiskivaniye in lungs, similar in a sound to friction of a stopper is observed. Especially it becomes noticeable on a breath and over area of a front surface of a thorax.

Diagnosis of a pneumofibrosis

The main diagnostic method of this disease is X-ray inspection of lungs. Only this research allows to gain the most objective impression about changes of pulmonary fabric of sclerous character and to differentiate the diagnosis of a pneumofibrosis from tumoral damages of lungs.Рентгенологическое исследование - метод диагностики пневмофиброза легких

For definition of pneumofibroses to the patient appoint a X-ray analysis of bodies of a thorax. As the accompanying researches the tomography and a X-ray analysis can be appointed. The great value in definition of a condition of pulmonary fabric is gained recently by a computer tomography.

Treatment of a pneumofibrosis

For today effective techniques of treatment of a pneumofibrosis do not exist. At a local pneumofibrosis without existence of symptomatology, as a rule, any medical influence is not applied at all. If the local pneumofibrosis develops as a result of the postponed destructive and inflammatory diseases and proceeds with periodic flashes of infectious process, to the patient appoint antiinflammatory and antimicrobic medicines, and also the actions directed to improvement of a drainage of bronchial tubes.

The Bronkhologichesky research allows to define whether it is reasonable at a disease an operative measure.

If the disease has extensive character and is caused by external factors, then treatment of a pneumofibrosis first of all has to be directed to elimination of the reasons. If necessary treatment of respiratory insufficiency is also carried out.

The forecast of a pneumofibrosis depends on different factors including from complexity of course of a disease. Reduction of a lung in sizes significantly makes heavier respiratory insufficiency, in some cases can serve as the supertension reason in system of a pulmonary artery and development of a pulmonary heart. The lethal outcome is possible if the pneumofibrosis is complicated by consecutive infection or development of tuberculosis.

Prevention of a pneumofibrosis

The main method of prevention of a pneumofibrosis is early detection and adequate treatment of those diseases which promote its development. During the work with pneumotoxic substances it is necessary to follow strictly safety rules, to exercise the regular control directed to identification of pneumotoxic effect of various medicines. If in lungs any pathological changes are observed, it is necessary to take urgently the measures directed to their elimination.
