Prozhestozhel – hormonal drug for treatment of a mastopathy.
Pharmacological action
Prozhestozhel contains progesterone which blocks estrogen, and, as a result, reduces squeezing of lacteal channels, leads to decrease in production of milk.

Indications to Prozhestozhel's use
Gel is used for treatment of a diffusion fibrous and cystous mastopathy and a mastodynia, including such that developed because of reception of oral contraceptives, in the pubertal period, during a premenopauza, or because of premenstrual tension.
Route of administration
Apply means on a breast 1-2 times a day by means of the doser applicator. One dose of gel (2,5 g) contains 0,025 g of progesterone. It is impossible to rub gel in breast skin.
Use gel Prozhestozhel daily or only in the second phase of a menstrual cycle – from 16 to 25 days. Treatment of a mastopathy or mastodynia lasts no more than three cycles.
After Prozhestozhel's drawing it is impossible to be under direct sunshine.
Side effects
After Prozhestozhel's use stethalgias can be felt, begin intermenstrual bleedings and "inflows", fever, nausea, a headache, the libido can worsen.
Also there are reviews of Prozhestozhel indicating that after gel use on site of its drawing reddening appeared, hypostasis of a neck or lips began.
Contraindications
According to the instruction Prozhestozhel is contraindicated at a breast cancer and generative organs, nodal forms of a fibrous and cystous mastopathy, in 2-3 trimesters of pregnancy, at hypersensitivity to progesterone and excipients of gel.
With care appoint Prozhestozhel to the women having a liver failure, bronchial asthma, migraine, a depression, epilepsy, a renal failure, phlebitis, thrombosis, thromboembolic diseases, hypertensia, a diabetes mellitus and that in whom the extrauterine pregnancy or a misbirth are found.
To the feeding women drug Prozhestozhel is appointed in rare instances.
At purpose of treatment consider that effect of gel can amplify at its combination to the combined contraceptive drugs.
