Pharmacological action of Sinekod
Sinekod – antibechic drug of direct action. Active ingredient бутамират. Drug directly influences the tussive center, blocking it, at the same time without oppressing a respiratory center. Also has bronkhodilatiruyushchy and antiinflammatory effect, adjusting to the best spirometry.
After acceptance inside drug is promptly soaked up by digestive tract. High extent of communication with protein of plasma is characteristic of active ingredient of a butamirat. Concentration of drug in blood reaches the maximum in 1,5 hours. Sinekod is metabolized in an organism, forming pharmako-active metabolites. Repeated use of Sinekod does not change pharmacokinetics. Semi-removal of drug happens in 6 hours. It is removed generally by kidneys in an invariable look and as metabolites.
Indications to use
It is applied at dry unproductive cough of any etiology: dry cough at whooping cough, the cough of chronic smokers, cough caused by a disease of upper respiratory tracts.
According to the instruction, Sinekod is shown for suppression of a tussive reflex during the preoperative and postoperative period, when carrying out a bronkhoskopiya and surgical interventions.
Contraindications to Sinekod's use
Individual intolerance of components of drug. Pulmonary bleedings. Syrup Sinekod is contraindicated for children 3 years are younger. Peroral drops are contraindicated to babies, is younger than two months.

Sinekod's dosage and instruction of use
At operations on a respiratory organs, to the adult patient administer the drug intramusculary or intravenously, from 10 to 20 milligrams of solution.
Drops Sinekod accept according to the following dosage – children of half a year about one year, and weighing up to 8 kilograms receive ten drops of drug, four times a day. Children of a year to three and weighing up to 15 kilograms, are given fifteen drops of drug four times a day. Is more senior than three years - write out twenty five drops, four times a day.
Syrup Sinekod is prescribed to children from three to six years on 5 ml, by three times a day. From 10 ml, six till nine years, three times a day. Teenagers are from 9 to 15 years old, 15 ml, three times a day. Adult patients can accept 15 milliliters of syrup, four times a day.
Tablets Sinekod - for adult patients acceptance ten milligrams in the morning and in the evening, to children of twelve years - five milligrams three times a day is possible.
Sinekod it is necessary to accept before food, drops can be dissolved in a small amount of water. The dosage and a course is coordinated with the attending physician.
Side effects
Sinekod's use can become the reason of side effects: increased fatigue, headaches, dizziness, nausea with possible vomiting, disturbance of a chair, a skin itch, a small tortoiseshell, rash.
Overdose by Sinekod
At Sinekod's overdose at patients nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, falling of arterial pressure, a loss of consciousness are noted.
The gastric lavage, reception orally of enterosorbents is recommended in case of overdose. Depending on indications, use of osmotic laxatives and in case of need holding actions for maintenance of breath and cordial activity is possible.
