Tafen назаль – glucocorticosteroid drug with the expressed antiallergenic and antiinflammatory action.

Form of release and structure

Drug is produced in a polymeric bottle in the form of nasal spray. The bottle includes the mechanical portioning device, a nozzle for a nose and a tip. One bottle contains two hundred doses of drug. One dose of medicine contains 50 mkg of a budesonid.

Effect of chemical components of a medicine promotes oppression of the inflammatory processes arising in upper parts of respiratory tracts. Drug possesses vasoconstrictive action, contributes to normalization of permeability of vessels.

There are comments on Tafen Nazal, as about the medicine which is effectively reducing weight of symptoms at the expressed allergic reactions of an organism.

After interaction of the drug with a mucous membrane of a nose about 20% of the administered budesonid comes to the blood circulatory system. About 90% of the active ingredient of drug which got to blood are inactivated in a liver. The main part of metabolites within two-three hours is removed by kidneys.

Indications to use Tafen назаль

• Treatment and prevention of year-round and seasonal allergic and not allergic rhinitises;
• Treatment of polyps of a nasal cavity.

Contraindications

• Individual intolerance of the main components of drug;
• Hypersensitivity to any components of medicine;
• Bacterial, fungal, virus respiratory infections;
• Pregnancy;
• Pulmonary tuberculosis in an active form;
• Children's age up to six years.

Application instruction Tafen назаль

Tafen назаль according to the instruction it is necessary to accept as follows:

• In an initiation of treatment to children after six years and the adult recommend to use medicine twice a day (on two doses in each nostril);
• Further daily to enter one dose of drug into each nostril twice a day or two doses of drug once a day.

Tafen назаль according to the instruction for achievement of the maximum therapeutic effect recommend to accept no more than three months. Improvement of a condition of the patient is observed most often on third day after the beginning of therapy.

For achievement of lasting therapeutic effect it is very important to consider the following recommendations about use Tafen назаль according to the instruction:

• To clear nasal bosoms;
• To remove a cap and to carefully stir up a bottle;
• To press the nasal adapter and to release a small amount of drug in air;
• To incline the head it is a little forward, to insert a nozzle on the left side into the right nostril, to direct a nozzle to an external wall. To press the adapter before receipt of the recommended medicine dose in the nasal course, to inhale it. To similarly enter medicine into the left nostril.

Side effects

• From a respiratory organs: irritation and xeromycteria, sneezing, nasal bleeding, cough.
• Dermatological reactions: urticaria, dermatitis, rash.

At long use of drug it is recommended to undergo twice a year inspection of a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity for an exception of possible development of candidiasis of a throat or atrophic rhinitis.

Very carefully the patients having a nasal cavity injury as glucocorticosteroids substantially slow down process of an angenesis should use drug.

It is necessary to apply Tafen назаль at pregnancy only after preliminary estimate of the expected benefit and risk of treatment as the main operating component of drug is capable to get through a placenta. Newborns whose mothers applied in treatment Tafen назаль at pregnancy some time have to be under careful observation of the doctor (for an exception of existence of a hypoadrenalism).
