Alteration

Alteration (alteratio; lat. alteratum, altero – to do to others, to change) – the general name defining structural changes of cells, fabrics and bodies which are followed by disturbances of their life activity.

Allocate:

  • Alteration allergic (alteratio allergica) – the changes caused by impact on fabrics of allergic antibodies, complexes of allergens – antibodies or sensibilized lymphocytes;
  • Alteration secondary (alteratio secundaria) – the changes arising indirectly because of the humoral and neuroreflex influences coming from the place of primary damage;
  • Alteration primary (alteratio primaria) – the changes caused by immediate effect of the damaging agent.
