Ametropia

Ametropia (ametropia; Greek ametros– disproportionate, disproportionate + opos, ops – an eye) – one of anomalies of a refraction of an eye at which compliance between length of an optical axis of an eye and the refracting force of its optical system is broken.

Allocate:

  • The ametropia combinational (ametropia combinativa) – an ametropia at which values of length of an optical axis of an eye and the refracting force of its optical system are in norm limits however does not provide their combination of a normal refraction;
  • Ametropia axial (ametropia axialis) – an ametropia which is caused by an aberration of length of an optical axis of an eye at preservation of normal values of its refracting force;
  • Ametropia refraction (ametropia refractiva) – an ametropia which is caused by an aberration of the refracting force of optical system of an eye at preservation of normal length of its optical axis;
  • Ametropia mixed (ametropia mixta) – an ametropia at which values of the refracting force of optical system of an eye and length of an optical axis are outside norm.

Having fallen from a donkey, you more likely will kill yourself, than having fallen from a horse. Only do not try to disprove this statement.
