Analgesic means (analgetica; an-– otritsa. Greek algesis – feeling of pain is frequent +; synonyms: anesthetics, analgetics) – medicines which selectively weaken or eliminate pain (for example, Promedolum, morphine, acetylsalicylic acid, pyramidon). Analgesic (analgeticus; synonym: antalgicheskiya) – soothing, relieving pain.
