Areometer

The areometer (Greek araios – rare, thin, leaky + – to measure metreo) – the device used when determining density of liquid on depth of immersion of the areometer in it to an equilibrium state. In laboratory practice different types of the areometer are used (for example, the alcoholometer, сахарометр, a lactometer, etc.).
