Argentaffinotsita intestinal (argentaffinocyti intestinales, LNH; lat. argentum – silver + lat. affinis – inherent, akin + a gist. cytus – a cell; synonyms: Kulchitsky of a cell, cells argentofilny, cells basal and granular, cells argentaffin, cells enterokhromaffinny, cells yellow, enterokhromaffinotsita) – the cells of an epithelium of a mucous membrane of a stomach and intestinal crypts containing in granule cytoplasm, having ability in the absence of reducers to recover chrome and silver from their mixes; produce serotonin (biogenic amines).
