  1. Lat. bacillus – a stick; the general name of the rhabdoid bacteria forming disputes and entering into the Bacillaceae family;
  2. Bacillus, Ber; genus of bacteria this. Bacillaceae containing aerobic bacteria; types of bacilli: Kalmetta-Gerena; anthracic (Bacillus anthracis, Ber; Xing: a stick anthracic) – the activator of a malignant anthrax (a species of bacteria of a sort of bacilli, not moving gram-positive stick reaching in length of 5-10 microns forming disputes in the form of an ellipse which is placed chains, and on the Wednesdays containing blood and in a human body creating capsules); the bacillus is tubercular.
