Bacteremia

Bacteremia (Greek bacteriaemia; bacteria – bacteria + haima – blood) – presence of bacteria in blood of the person: points to development of the infectious disease arising at penetration of activators (bacteria) into blood through biological barriers.

  1. Bacteremia beam (b. radialis) – the nonspecific bacteremia at radiation defeat developing owing to oppression of immunological stability and a hyperpermeability of natural barriers of an organism;
  2. Bacteremia nonspecific (b. nonspecifica) – is caused by influence of opportunistic microorganisms, being representatives of normal microflora of mucous membranes, skin, intestines; develops when easing resistance of an organism, for example, at burn and radiation defeats, leukoses etc.
