Barlow phenomenon

Barlow phenomenon (English doctor of Th. Barlow, 1845-1945) – observed in front at thorax percussion in the direction from top to down (when finding the patient in a sitting position) special priority of transformation of a percussion sound; obtusion, pulmonary sound, full dullness, tympanites; a symptom of the subphrenic abscess including gas.
