Bekhtereva-Mendel reflex (V. M. Bekhterev, Soviet psychoneurologist and physiologist, 1857-1927; To. Mendel, German neuropathologist, 1874-1946; a reflex from armor. reflexus – reflected, turned back; synonyms: the reflex is back and-foot, Mendel-Bechterew a symptom, Shternberg a reflex) – the pathological reaction which is shown in bottom bending of fingers of foot at blow by a hammer on its dorsum; sign of pyramidal insufficiency.
