Beta-ray therapy

Beta-ray therapy (a β-particle – the charged particle which is let out as a result of a beta decay; therapy from Greek therapeia – leaving, treatment) – the form of radiation therapy which is based on influence on patholologically the changed fabrics of beta radiation of radioactive isotopes.

Types of a beta-ray therapy:

  • Application – at which on the surface of mucous membranes or skin place the B-ray applicators which are carrying out influence of the radiating isotopes;
  • Intracavitary – at which enter colloidal solutions of radioactive isotopes into natural perigastriums;
  • Interstitial – at which administration of radioactive isotopes implantations in fabric of granules, films or threads impregnirovanny (sated) with isotopes carry out by means of treatment of fabrics them colloidal solutions, or applying ability of some fabrics to selective absorption of certain elements after their parenteral or peroral administration.

Whether you know that:

The American scientists made experiments on mice and came to a conclusion that water-melon juice prevents development of atherosclerosis of vessels. One group of mice drank usual water, and the second – water-melon juice. As a result vessels of the second group were free from cholesteric plaques.
