Biogenetic law

Biogenetic law (biogenica; Greek bios – life, belonging to life, to vital processes + Greek - genes – generated; synonyms: the rule of reconciliation, Müller-Gekkel the law) – the rule according to which ontogenesis (an ontogeny of an individual), mainly the embryogenesis (development of a germ) of live organisms, schematically repeats considerable stages of phylogenesis (development of the look).
