Biogeography

Biogeography (Greek bios – life, belonging to life, to vital processes + Greek ge – the earth + Greek grapho – to represent, write) – the section of geography in which patterns of distribution on Earth of microorganisms, plants and animals are studied; achievements of biogeography are applied in health care and medicine at identification of resources of medicinal raw materials, when developing measures of fight against parasitic and infectious diseases and so forth.
