The plaque is atherosclerotic

Plaque atherosclerotic (plax atherosclerotica) – the focal thickening of an internal cover of an artery appearing in a zone of adjournment of lipids owing to growth of connecting fabric; is the basic morphological element of atherosclerosis.

Allocate:

  • Plaque atherosclerotic calcinated (river of atherosclerotica calcinata) – inlaid with deposits of salts of calcium;
  • Plaque atherosclerotic fibrous (river of atherosclerotica fibrosa) – containing the expanded fibrous elements.
