Mesentery [mesenterium – PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian), BNA (The anatomic nomenclature Basel); mesostenium, JNA (Anatomic nomenclature Yenskaya); synonym: mezenteriya] – a fold of a peritoneum by means of which intraperitoneal bodies are attached to walls of an abdominal cavity.
