Guthrie test

Guthrie the test (R. Guthrie, the American pediatrician, 1916-1995) – the way of detection at newborns during mass inspections of some inherited disorders of exchange of amino acids which is based on assessment of extent of stimulation or suppression of growth of certain strains of microorganisms the enzymes and/or products of exchange which are in blood inspected.
