Hexoses – group of monosaccharides (simple sugars) which molecule contains 6 carbon atoms: mannose, galactose, glucose, etc.; meet in fabrics and cells in a free form, and also as a part of glycoproteins, glycosides and polysaccharides; perform function of a structural component of power material and cells.
