Erythrophages

Erythrophages (Greek haimatos, haima – blood + Greek phagos – devouring) – the live organisms feeding on blood of other animals and the person can serve as carriers of some pathogenic agents:

  1. In entomology – species of the synanthropic flies eating blood;
  2. In a protozoology (synonym: erythrophages) – trofozoita  of a dysenteric amoeba and some other parasitic protozoa containing fagotsitirovanny erythrocytes.
