Vegnera-Korzuna syphilitic osteochondritis (F. R. G. Wegner, German pathologist, 1843-1917; I. Yu. Korzun; osteochondritis, Greek osteon – a bone + Greek chondros – a cartilage + lat. it (словообраз. a suffix) – inflammatory process) – the chronic arthritis of a syphilitic etiology proceeding with damage of bones, and also cartilages of a joint and the joint capsule, differing in considerable deformation of a joint against the background of small disturbance of its function and lack of the expressed pain syndrome.
