Vittselya gastrostomy

Vittselya gastrostomy (O. of Witzel, German surgeon, 1856-1925; gastrostomia, Greek gaster – a stomach + stoma – a mouth) – the surgery intended for creation of artificial outside fistula of a stomach by means of a vshivaniye in its front wall of a rubber tube with formation of the channel at the end of which it gets to a gastric cavity the second end of a tube is removed outside; the stomach is hemmed to a front abdominal wall.
