Flavoring kidney (gemma gustatoria – LNH (The Leningrad histologic nomenclature); synonyms: a flavoring cup, a taste bulb) – the structurally functional unit of an organ of taste including the epithelial taste cells connected with the ends of branchings of flavoring nerve fibrils in structure; flavoring kidneys are placed preferential in language nipples, and (temporarily) in mucous a back wall of a throat, a soft palate and an epiglottis.
