Hair

Hair (pili) – threadlike derivatives of epidermis of skin.

Allocate hair:

  • Grown (incarnati) – at which the free ends grow into skin; appear, preferential, on a chin at men owing to regular traumatizing during shaving;
  • Long (longi) – the pigmented hair of moustaches and a beard, the heads, axillary poles, external genitals and a pubis having thickness of 0,05-0,2 mm, and length more than 5 cm;
  • Annulate (anulati; synonym: canities ring-shaped) – hereditary anomaly of development: the ring-shaped zones of canities located among normally pigmented head hair;
  • Moniliformnye (moniliformes; synonyms: монилетрикс, hair spindle-shaped) – the hereditary dystrophy of hair which is coming to light at early children's age at which alternation of spindle-shaped thickenings of a core of a hair with fragility, dryness, loss and sites of thinning of hair is observed;
  • Overwound (torti; synonyms: трихотортоз, трихокинез) – anomaly of development: a brittle, dry hair at which cores are twirled around a longitudinal axis;
  • Flat (plani) – anomaly of development of hair of the head: alternation of the flattened light and dark sites on length of hair;
  • Puchkoobraznye (synonyms: thysanothrix, spinulosa, trichostasis) – the congenital anomaly of growth of hair on a stomach and spin which is characterized by existence in one hair follicle of 20-40 hair located in the form of a brush (including died off);
  • Vellus (lanugo) – a slabopigmentirovanny, fine, short hair which covers almost all body of the person;
  • Setaceous the - the pigmented, thick, short hair forming eyelashes and eyebrows, and also growing in outside acoustical pass and in the nasal courses.
