The meanie operation (R. R. Vreden, the Soviet surgeon, 1867-1934) – the surgery performed at severe forms of scoliosis during which on site protrusions at five and more edges resect (including their heads) posterolateral departments; at adults in addition replace one of remote edges to acanthas of vertebrae.
