Dislocation

Dislocation (luxatio) – the resistant shift of the joint ends of the connecting bones for limits of their physiological mobility leading to dysfunction of a joint.

Allocate dislocation:

  • Hips central (femoris centralis) – hip dislocation in a combination with a change of a bottom of an acetabular hollow at which the head of a hip is displaced in a pelvic cavity;
  • Inborn (congenita) – caused by pre-natal abnormal development of elements of a joint (preferential coxofemoral);
  • Old (inveterata) – which remained not set after an injury and does not give in to the closed reposition owing to changes, fabrics, occurred in adjacent to a joint;
  • Incomplete (incompleta; synonym: the incomplete dislocation) – at which partially remains contact of joint surfaces;
  • Paralytic (paralytica) – the pathological dislocation caused by paralysis of one of group of muscles of an extremity, resulting in overweight of group of antagonistic muscles;
  • Pathological (pathologica) – caused by a joint disease which causes disturbances of joint surfaces (ends) of bones;
  • Full (completa) – at which is noted full discrepancy of joint surfaces;
  • Usual (habitualis) – the dislocation which is systematically repeating in the same joint, caused by anatomic changes of the joint ends (surfaces) of bones and/or a relaxation of ligaments of a joint and the muscles adjoining to it;
  • Traumatic (traumatica) – caused by external mechanical influence.
