Hawthorn tincture

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents: 3 g or 5 g of a hawthorn of fruits.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Means of a plant origin. Renders moderate antiarrhytmic, cardiotonic, hypotensive and spasmolytic action, improves coronary and cerebral circulation, urezhat ChSS. Reduces excitability of TsNS. Tinctura Crataegi reduces excitability of a myocardium.

Active ingredients of fruits of a hawthorn flavonoids and pro-cyanidines have cardiotonic and antiarrhytmic effect. Also existence in fruits of a hawthorn of the triterpenovy, oleanovy, ursolovy and krategovy acids strengthening blood circulation in coronary vessels of heart and in vessels of a brain and increasing sensitivity of a myocardium to effect of cardiac glycosides is established.

Indications to use:

Functional cardiac disturbances, angioneuroses.

As a part of complex therapy: ciliary arrhythmia, Bouveret's disease.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, in 30 minutes prior to food. The mode of dosing is set individually depending on a state and age of the patient. A usual dose for adults - till 20-30 drops 3-4 times a day before achievement of stable effect. To children since 12 years from calculation one drop for a year of life.

Features of use:

Simultaneous use from antiaritmika of the III class, with tsiprazidy is not recommended.

Influence on ability to management of transport and potentially dangerous mechanisms. Drug contains alcohol! During treatment it is necessary to refrain from driving of motor transport and other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions: seldom urticaria, itch.

At prolonged use: bradycardia;

At use in high doses: lowering of arterial pressure, drowsiness.

Interaction with other medicines:

At joint appointment to cardiac glycosides there is strengthening of cardiotonic effect; with beta adrenoblockers – hypotensive effect. Pharmaceutical we will combine with solutions of cardiac glycosides (improves their portability).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to all components of drug, children's age up to 12 years, pregnancy and the period of a lactation (during treatment stop breastfeeding).

Overdose:

Symptoms: lowering of arterial pressure, drowsiness.

Treatment: drug withdrawal, symptomatic therapy.
