General characteristics. Structure:
Mezhdunarony and chemical names: heparin sodium;
main physical and chemical properties: transparent, colourless hydrophilic gel with a slight specific smell;
structure: contains in 1 g of gel heparin sodium of 300 PIECES or 600 PIECES;
excipients: carbomer 940, Trisaminum (трометамин), propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, the water purified.
Pharmacological properties:
Heparin sodium is anticoagulant of direct action; it blocks thrombin biosynthesis, prevents formation of fibrin from fibrinogen, reduces aggregation of thrombocytes and activity of hyaluronidase oppresses. At topical administration gel Geparin-Darnitsa renders antitrombo-tichesky, moderate antiinflammatory and anti-exudative action.
Drug has no local irritative effect.
Pharmacokinetics. According to literature at topical administration of gel from the surface of skin in a system blood stream only the insignificant amount of heparin which removal happens generally through kidneys is soaked up.
Indications to use:
Gel Geparin-Darnitsa is appointed for topical treatment of thrombophlebitises of superficial veins, the migrating phlebitis, including at a chronic varicosis and varicose ulcers; at complications after surgeries on veins; for treatment of aseptic infiltrates and local hypostases, injuries, hypodermic hematomas, and also bruises of muscles, sinews and joints; at an acute anorectal phlebothrombosis. Gel Geparin-Darnitsa containing 600 PIECES of heparin sodium in 1 g is shown for treatment of acute thrombophlebitises, including acute thrombophlebitis of a kubitalny vein after repeated injections.
Route of administration and doses:
Gel Geparin-Darnitsa is applied locally. 3 - 10 cm of gel apply with the easy rubbing movements on skin of an affected area of 1 - 3 time a day. The dose of drug depends on the area of an affected area. At an anorectal phlebothrombosis of 3 - 4 cm of gel enter into the proctal canal on a narrow gauze tampon 2 times a day.
Features of use:
Gel Geparin-Darnitsa should be applied with care at hemorrhagic processes. Drug should not be applied on open wounds and to apply in the presence of purulent processes. It is impossible to allow hits of gel in eyes.
Side effects:
At prolonged use of drug local reactions of hypersensitivity are possible.
Interaction with other medicines:
Gel use Geparin-Darnitsa can cause lengthening of a prothrombin time in the patients accepting orally anticoagulants.
Contraindications:
Individual hypersensitivity to heparin or any of gel components.
Overdose:
Cases of overdose of drug are not revealed.
Storage conditions:
Gel Geparin-Darnitsa is stored in the dry place at a temperature from +8 to +15 °C.
Period of validity - 3 years.
