Transplantation — in medicine change of any body or fabric, for example, kidneys, hearts, a liver, a lung, marrow, stem hemopoietic cells, hair.
Distinguish the following types of transplantation:
- autotransplantation, or autologous transplantation — the recipient of a transplant is his donor for themselves. For example, autotransplantation of skin from the unimpaired sites on burned widely is applied at heavy burns.
