Pharmacological properties:

Irreplaceable amino acid, donator of mobile methyl groups. Participates in exchange of sulfur-containing amino acids, in synthesis of Epinephrinum, creatinine and other biologically important connections, activates effect of hormones, vitamins (B12, ascorbic, folic acids), enzymes. Participates in reactions of transmethylation, deamination, decarboxylation and so forth. Has detoksitsiruyushchy effect.

Indications to use:

Liver diseases (hepatitises, hepatoses, cirrhoses) proceeding with fatty infiltration of a liver. Prevention of toxic damages of a liver arsenic, chloroform, benzene, alcohol. As a part of a combination therapy: deficit of protein of various origin, atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside. The adult on 0,5 g-1,5 of, children 6 years on 0,25 g-0,5 of, 3-4 times a day in 30-60 minutes prior to food are more senior.
Course of treatment of 10-30 days. It is appointed also courses for 10 days with 10-day breaks.

Features of use:

It is necessary to appoint drug in the balanced ratio with other amino acids. Unbalanced use of methionine in high doses can have the damaging effect on cells of a liver and other bodies.
