Besalolum of the tab. of N6

General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical properties: tablets of light-brown color, with impregnations, with a slight specific smell, a ploskotsilindrichesky form, with a facet and risky; structure: 1 tablet contains extract of a belladonna (belladonna) of dense 0,01 g, salol of 0,3 g; excipients: starch corn or potato, talc, stearic acid.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Besalolum possesses spasmolytic, cholinolytic, certain anesthetic and antiseptic effects. The first three effects are caused by the alkaloids of group of atropine which are contained in belladonna extract, antiseptic action is connected with salol, split in the alkaline environment of intestines with phenol release (oppresses pathogenic flora) and salicylic acid (antiinflammatory action). Feature of salol is that it at long use does not cause an intestinal dysbiosis.

Pharmacokinetics. Drug is well soaked up in digestive tract. It is removed by kidneys.

Indications to use:

The digestive tract diseases which are followed by spasms (colitis, coloenterites).

Route of administration and doses:

The adult appoint on 1 tablet 2-3 times a day. Duration of reception depends on a form of a disease, its expressiveness, effect of drug, the nature of therapy (administration of drug independently or in a complex with other medicines). The maximum daily dose for adults – 6 tablets.

Features of use:

It is necessary to avoid drug use to persons whose activity demands the increased visual acuity.
Drug use by the patient with a benign hyperplasia of a prostate, as an antispasmodic is possible. 
Use of drug at the diseases of cardiovascular system which are followed by bradycardia is possible under observation of the doctor.
Use of drug at pregnancy and a lactation is possible if, according to the doctor, the expected advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit or the child. Experience of use for treatment of children is absent. 

Side effects:

Increase in intraocular pressure, dryness in a mouth, a mydriasis, accommodation paresis, an ischuria, allergic reactions. 

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not established. 

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, closed-angle glaucoma.

Overdose:

Symptoms: dryness of integuments and mucous membranes, dysphagy, thirst, skin rash, accommodation paralysis, psychomotor excitement, spasms, ischuria, intestines atony. Treatment: drug withdrawal, therapy symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

To store in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature from 8 °C to 15 °C. 
Period of validity – 4 years.
