Calendula

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 2,5 g of Tinctura Calendulae in 25 g of ointment.

Excipients: white soft paraffin, T-2 emulsifier, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Has local antiinflammatory and antiseptic effect.

Indications to use:

Cuts, small wounds, skin cracks, superficial burns, intertrigo, stings of mosquitoes, etc.

Route of administration and doses:

Ointment is applied a thin layer on affected areas of skin under a sterile bandage for 30 - 60 min. by 2 - 3 times a day. Duration of use depends on character and expressiveness of pathological process and the reached effect. Features of use in each separate case are defined by the doctor.

Features of use:

Not to apply to the persons inclined to allergic reactions to calendula drugs. To avoid hit of ointment in eyes. In case of accidental hit of ointment in eyes it is necessary to wash out them water and to see immediately a doctor.

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. There is no experience of use of ointment for pregnant women and women during feeding by a breast therefore it is not recommended to use drug during these periods.

Influence on ability to manage motor transport or other mechanisms. There are no data on influence on ability to drive the car and potentially dangerous equipment.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions. In rare instances – developing of dermatitis in the place of application.

Interaction with other medicines:

Negative interactions with other medicines are not described.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to medicine components; children up to 6 years.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not over 25 ºС. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use medicine after the termination of a period of validity.
