Mycocide

General characteristics. Structure:

Acting veshchestvo:10 with mg of a bifonazol in 1 g of cream.

Excipients: propylene glycol, a macrogoal 1500, polysorbate 80, a macrogoal cetostearyl ether, paraffin soft, white, cetostearyl alcohol, stearic acid, diethanol amide, citric acid monohydrate, the water purified.

Antifungal broad-spectrum agent. Depending on a dose has fungistatic or fungicidal property.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The mechanism of effect of medicine is caused by disturbance of synthesis of the ergosterol which is a part of a cellular membrane of mushrooms. It is active concerning dermatophytes, barmy (including the sorts Candida), mold (Malassezia furfur) and other mushrooms, gram-positive cocci. Also Corynebacterium minutissimum, Piturosporum orbiculare are sensitive to medicine.

Pharmacokinetics. After topical administration of a bifonazol only 0,6 – 0,8% of active agent are absorbed from the surface of healthy skin and 2 – 4% - at inflammations of the skin.

The elimination half-life makes 19 – 32 hours. In 6 hours concentration of a bifonazol in upper and papillary layers of epidermis corresponds or many times over exceeds the minimum overwhelming concentration for the main activators of dermatomycoses.

Indications to use:

- the dermatomycoses caused by dermatophytes, barmy, mold and other mushrooms including mycoses of feet, brushes, smooth skin and folds of skin;
- multi-colored deprive, superficial candidiases;
- erythrasma.

Route of administration and doses:

Cream is applied once a day in the evening before going to bed with a thin layer on an affected area of skin and rubbed. The single dose is established taking into account the defeat center sizes – for processing of the area of the size of a palm use a column of cream about 5 mm long.

Treatment duration at mycoses of feet and damage of skin in interdigital intervals of legs – 3 weeks; at mycoses of brushes, folds of skin and smooth skin – 2–3 weeks; at multi-colored herpes and an erythrasma – 2 weeks; at superficial candidiases – 2-4 weeks.

At fungus diseases of nails a thin film of cream is applied on the affected nail which is closed a plaster and a bandage for 24 hours. After removal of a plaster for replacement of a bandage it is necessary to keep nails in warm water about 1 min.; the softened infected part of a nail is removed a shaber. At the end of the procedure apply cream on the dried-up nails again and close a plaster. Treatment duration to a full onychectomy – 7-14 days. After an onychectomy treatment is continued within 4 weeks. The repeated course is possible.

After elimination of clinical manifestations cream continues to be applied within 10-15 days to prevention of a recurrence.

Features of use:

To apply with care at the patients having hypersensitivity to other antifungal medicines from group of derivatives of an imidazole (эконазол, Clotrimazolum, Miconazolum).

To avoid hit of medicine in eyes.

The propylene glycol which is a part of medicine can cause irritation of skin; cetostearyl alcohol - can cause local skin reactions (for example, contact dermatitis).

Use for children is possible only under observation of the doctor. To protect from fire.

Period of pregnancy and lactation. Pregnancy. Medicine should not be applied during pregnancy due to the lack of researches on this category of patients. However use of medicine during this period is possible if the potential advantage for mother surpasses potential risk for a fruit or the child.

Lactation. Absorption of a bifonazol at external use of drug is insignificant. Medicine can be used in the period of a lactation. At prescription of medicine in the period of a lactation it is necessary to avoid putting medicine on area of a thorax. Use of medicine during this period is possible if the potential advantage for mother surpasses potential risk for a fruit or the child.

Influence on ability to drive the car and to work with mechanisms. Medicine does not influence speed of response at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms.

Side effects:

- easy reddening or irritation of skin, burning, an itch, a pricking, contact dermatitis, on a nail bed – irritation, redness, maceration, a peeling;
- allergic reactions.

Interaction with other medicines:

Are not described.

Contraindications:

 hypersensitivity to medicine components.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose are noted.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above +25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 2 years.
