General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 3 g of methyluracil (dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine).

excipients: liquid paraffin (liquid paraffin), wax emulsion, глицерол (glycerin), ethanol (alcohol) of 95%, water cleared.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Стизамет® has antiinflammatory effect, stimulates regeneration of skin and reduces probability of suppuration. Drug strengthens synthesis of intracellular proteins and nucleic acids, activates fibroblastichesky reaction in a derma. Стизамет® possesses also photoprotective action.

Pharmacokinetics. Thanks to an emulsion basis of Stizamet® easily gets into skin. When drawing on skin the maximum concentration of methyluracil in blood is reached in 2 hours, the elimination half-life makes 5,1 hours.

Indications to use:

Inflammatory diseases of skin (eczema, neurodermatitis, dermatitis), badly healing wounds, burns (thermal, chemical, beam in a reparative stage), erosion and ulcers of skin (including after radiation therapy), trophic ulcers, decubituses, cracks of skin of an anus and mammary glands. It can be used with the preventive purpose for the prevention of reactions of skin at radiation of new growths with low radio sensitivity, reduction of a radioepithelitis and late unions of walls (occlusions) of a vagina - in case of radiation therapy of new growths of genitalias. It is applied also as the photoprotectant at photodermatoses.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly, locally. Ointment is applied a thin layer on affected areas of skin by 2 times a day, at erosion, ulcers and wounds - after pretreatment by antiseptic agents. At a radioepithelitis and late beam injuries of a vagina ointment is used on friable tampons in the form of applications. The single dose at the rate of the area of the processed surface of skin makes from 1 to 10 g of ointment. A course of treatment - before full healing.

At chronic diseases course duration - up to 2 months. The course dose can make 60-80 g and more (to 300 g).

Features of use:

Use during pregnancy and a lactation is possible.

Drug does not influence ability to drive the car and to perform the works demanding the increased concentration of attention.

Side effects:

Seldom allergic reactions, short-term burning.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is possible to appoint along with other dermatotropic means, including with glucocorticosteroids, antibacterial and antiseptic agents for external use.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, acute and chronic forms of leukoses and other malignant diseases of system of bodies of a hemopoiesis, redundancy of granulations in a wound.

With care. With care to use at the skin diseases which are followed by formation of excess growths of fabric: to a vegetans pemphigus, a vegetans pyoderma, a verrukozny form red flat depriving, a verrukozny epidermodysplasia, etc., excess granulations in a wound and ulcers, at acute inflammatory diseases of skin and in the period of an aggravation of chronic. Drug should be used also with care on sites of skin, big on the area, at disturbances of exchange of cholesterol and a serious illness of a liver. Storage conditions:

At a temperature from 2 to 8 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Not to allow freezing. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use after a period of validity.
