General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 15 g the azelaic acid in terms of 100% substance.

Excipients: the benzoic acid, метилпирролидон, squalane, propylene glycol, dinatrium эдетат, sodium hydroxide, диметикон, a macrogoal цетостеарат, carbomer an interpolimer, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Has bacteriostatic activity concerning Propionibacterium acne and Staphylococcus epidermidis, reduces production of the fatty acids promoting developing of an acne. Reduces formation of comedones. Influencing process of keratinization of cells of epidermis, suppresses growth and activity of the abnormal melanocytes causing a hyperpegmentation like melazma. Has antiacne, depigmenting effect.

Pharmacokinetics. After drawing on skin gets into epidermis and a derma, 3,6% of the general dose are absorbed in a system blood stream. A part of the soaked-up acid is removed by kidneys in not changed look, a part – in the form of the dicarboxylic acids (C7, C5) which are formed as a result of beta oxidation.

Indications to use:

Acne rash (acne vulgaris), rozatsea.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. Gel should be applied on previously carefully washed up (water or cleared by the soft clearing cosmetic) and the dried-up face skin. Gel is applied with a thin layer on affected areas of skin of 2 times/days (in the morning and in the evening) and slightly rubbed. About 2,5 cm of gel are enough for all surface of a face.

At patients with eels ordinary (acne vulgaris) the expressed improvement usually is observed in 4 weeks. For obtaining the best results use of drug should be continued within several months.

Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and during breastfeeding. At pregnancy and during breastfeeding apply only if the estimated advantage for mother exceeds risk for a fruit and the child.

It is necessary to avoid hit of drug in eyes, and also on mucous membranes of a nose, lips and a mouth, in case of unintentional contact - immediately to wash out water.

In cases of strongly expressed irritation of skin in the first weeks of treatment gel it is possible to apply 1 times/days; short-term drug withdrawal is also possible. After disappearance of symptoms of irritation of skin it is necessary to resume regular use of drug in the recommended dose.

During treatment it is necessary to protect skin from all range of sunlight.

Side effects:

In an initiation of treatment perhaps local irritative action, a hyperemia and a peeling of skin, burning, an erythema, the itch which are usually stopping in the course of treatment. Allergic reactions of skin are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is possible to apply in combination with other medicines to therapy of acne rash.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components.

With care. Pregnancy, lactation period.

Overdose:

Now cases of overdose of drug are not described.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C. Not to freeze. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to apply after a period of validity.
