Active ingredient - a meglumina акридонацетат in terms of akridonuksusny acid - 150 mg; excipients: povidone - 7,93 mg, calcium stearate - 3,07 mg, a gipromelloza - 2,73 mg, polysorbate of 80 - 0,27 mg, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer - 23,21 mg, propylene glycol - 1,79 mg. 

Description: tablets biconvex yellow color, covered with a kishechnorastvorimy cover.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Tsikloferon is the low-molecular inductor of interferon that defines a wide range of its biological activity (antiviral, immunomodulatory, antiinflammatory, etc.). Tsikloferon is effective concerning viruses of hepatitis, flu and other causative agents of acute respiratory diseases. possesses direct antiviral action, suppressing a virus reproduction on early terms (a 1-5a days) infectious process, reducing infectivity of virus posterity, leading to formation of defective virus particles. Increases nonspecific resistance of an organism concerning viral and bacterial infections.

Pharmacokinetics. At reception of a daily dose the maximum concentration in a blood plasma is reached in 2-3 hours, gradually decreases by the 8th o'clock, and in 24 hours Tsikloferon is found in trace quantities. The elimination half-life of drug makes 4-5 hours therefore drug use Tsikloferon in the recommended doses does not create conditions for cumulation in an organism.

Indications to use:

At adults in complex therapy: flu and acute respiratory diseases; herpes infection. At children in complex therapy, since four years in complex therapy: flu and acute respiratory diseases; Herpes infection.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, once a day, in 30 minutes prior to food, without chewing, washing down 1/2 glasses of water, in age dosages: children are 4-6 years old: on 150 mg (1 tablet) on reception; children are 7-11 years old: on 300-450 mg (2-3 tablets) on reception; to adults and children 12 years are more senior: on 450-600 (3-4 tablets) on reception. It is reasonable to conduct a repeated course in 2-3 weeks after the termination of the first course. At adults: 1. At treatment of flu and acute respiratory diseases drug is accepted for the 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 days (a course of treatment - 20 tablets). Treatment needs to be begun at the first symptoms of a disease. At the heavy course of flu in the first day take six pill. If necessary carry in addition out symptomatic therapy (febrifugal, soothing, expectorants). 2. At a herpes infection drug is accepted for the 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20 and 23 days (a course of treatment of 40 tablets). Treatment is most effective at emergence of the first symptoms of a disease. At children since four years: 1. At flu and acute respiratory diseases drug is accepted in age doses for 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23 days. The course of treatment makes from 5 to 10 receptions depending on weight of a state and expressiveness of clinical symptoms. 2. At a herpes infection drug is accepted for the 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 11, 14 days of treatment. The course of treatment can vary depending on weight of a state and expressiveness of clinical symptoms. 3. For the emergency nonspecific prevention of flu and acute respiratory diseases (at direct contact with patients with flu or ORZ of other etiology, in the period of a flu epidemic): for the 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 days. Further 72 hours (three days) carry out a break and continue a course for the 11, 14, 17, 20, 23 days. The general course makes from 5 to 10 receptions.

Features of use:

Tsikloferon does not exert impact on ability to manage vehicles. At diseases of a thyroid gland consultation of the doctor - the endocrinologist is necessary.
