Гидровит® Forte

General characteristics. Structure:

One bag contains: Active ingredients of Glucose anhydrous - 4,00 g, dihydrate citrate sodium - 0,59 g, chloride sodium – 0,70 g, chloride potassium - 0,30 g; Auxiliary ingredients of Fragrance lemon – 0,04 g, fragrance of natural black tea – 0,16 g, sodium saccharin – 0,02 g, D.L. malic acid – 0,20 g, dry dye (Е 150) – 0,02 g. Lump – 6,03 g.

Pharmacological properties:

The medical effect of drug is caused by increase in volume of the circulating blood, recovery of the broken electrolytic balance and correction of acidosis.

Indications to use:

Dehydration and disturbances of electrolytic balance in complex treatment at diarrhea of various origin. Cautions. Diarrhea can be a symptom of a serious disease (including infectious). If diarrhea does not pass within 2-3 days and/or if the general state worsens, you should see a doctor urgently. Usually babies and children of younger age have a diarrhea in particular accompanied with constant vomiting can lead to serious symptoms (a loss of consciousness, shock). Therefore surely consult with the attending physician before beginning treatment of diarrhea at children of chest and younger age.

Route of administration and doses:

For intake, after dissolution of contents of one bag of Gidrovita® forte in 200 ml of drinking water. In the absence of drinking water it is possible to use svezhekipyacheny chilled water or tea.
 The dosage of Gidrovita® forte depends on weight of a condition of the patient.
 
The total amount of the ready solution accepted within 24 hours for patients with diarrhea from moderated to dehydration, moderately severe with insignificant degree (loss less than 5% of weight) makes:
 Children of chest age: from 100 to 150 ml/kg of body weight.
 Children of younger age: from 80 to 120 ml/kg of body weight.
 Children of school age: from 50 to 80 ml/kg of body weight.
 Children of advanced age and adults: from 20 to 60 ml/kg of body weight.
 
The above-stated doses have advisory nature. Smaller or high doses can be necessary for some patients.
 
The raised doses can be useful in an initiation of treatment for a bystry and full recovery of loss of liquid.
 
One bag of this drug contains 4 g of glucose. In compliance with the instruction each dose may contain up to 3 g of glucose/kg of body weight.
 
To patients with nausea and/or vomiting, it is necessary to begin treatment with reception of a small amount of solution - on 5–10 ml each 5–10 minutes, increasing amount of the accepted solution, according to a clinical state, to the recommended dose.
 
Children of chest age who are nursed should give at first the recommended amount of the dissolved powder Gidrovita® forte, and then to feed.
 
Treatment duration
 
Treatment by the drug Gidrovit® forte should be continued while diarrhea lasts.

Features of use:

It is impossible to boil drug Gidrovit® solution forte. It is necessary to dissolve Gidrovit® forte strictly in the specified amount of liquid. Solution does not contain in smaller concentration optimum amount of electrolytes and glucose, at the same time, solution with bigger concentration can become the reason of an electrolytic imbalance in an organism. Solution for intake has to be prepared just before the use. At the room temperature solution, ready to the use, is stable within 1 hour. At storage in the refrigerator solution is stable no more than 24 hours. All unused portions of solution have to be destroyed. Patients with diabetes have to mean that one bag of the drug Gidrovit® forte contains 4 g of glucose. Concentration of glucose in ready solution for intake: 111 mmol/l Concentration of electrolytes in ready solution for intake: Sodium + - 90 mmol/l Potassium + - 20 mmol/l Chloride - - 80 mmol/l of Tsitrat3- 10 mmol/l Theoretical osmolality of ready solution for intake: 311 ¼Äß¼/l.

Side effects:

The irritation of a stomach connected with existence in composition of potassium can make sick and vomiting.

Interaction with other medicines:

Effect of cardiac glycosides can be weakened. At the patients who are receiving medical treatment for glycosides it is necessary to control potassium concentration in blood.

Contraindications:

Acute or chronic renal failure;

Pernicious vomiting;

Loss of consciousness and shock at an acute shortage of liquid;

Metabolic alkalosis;

Disturbance of digestion of carbohydrates in intestines (inborn monosakharidny malabsorption).

Overdose:

Overhydratation, disturbances of electrolytic balance, hyperglycemia. Accidental intoxication undiluted powder can break electrolytic balance and strengthen diarrhea.

Storage conditions:

In the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C.
