Isodiquarrystone

General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical properties: tablets of color, white or white with a yellowish shade; Structure: 1 tablet contains isodiquarrystone 0,5 g; Excipients: sugar, potato starch, calcium stearate.

Pharmacological properties:

^{Изодибут®} is aldozoreduktaza enzyme inhibitor. ^{Изодибут®} reduces activity of an aldozoreduktaza by 1,5-3 times and increases activity of a sorbitoldegidrogenaza by 1,2-1,4 times thanks to what the sorbitolovy pathway of glucose oppresses (its activity is considerably increased at patients with a diabetes mellitus) and prevents accumulation of sorbitol in a vascular wall, nerves, a crystalline lens, slows down processes of a glycosylation of proteins. Interferes with swelling and damage of fabrics, first of all vessels, nerves, a crystalline lens. Reduces the content in blood and cellular membranes of glikozilirovanny proteins. Drug improves a functional condition, metabolism, microcirculation of a brain, improves memory. Increases visual acuity, improves blood supply of a conjunctiva and a retina. Improves a renal blood stream, reduces an albuminuria. Recovers sensitivity and kills the lower extremity pains, accelerates healing of ulcers. Reduces displays of peripheral neuropathy.

Pharmacokinetics. At use inside it is almost completely absorbed from digestive tract. The maximum concentration in blood is noted in 3 hours, the elimination half-life makes 6,5 hours. It does not kumulirutsya in an organism. Maintenance of constant therapeutic concentration is reached by thrice reception within a day. Drug is completely removed by kidneys with urine.

Indications to use:

^{Изодибут®} apply in treatment at adults at a diabetes mellitus as prophylactic and treatments of complications of a diabetes mellitus:

- diabetic angiopatiya: lower extremities, retinopathy, nephropathy;
- polineyropatiya: vegetative (somatic) neyropatiya, cerebral neyropatiya, encephalopathies;
- diabetic cataract.

Route of administration and doses:

^{Изодибут®} accept to food, on 1 tablet (0,5 g) 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose makes 4 g. A course of treatment — 2-3 months. In 6 months the course is repeated. For the purpose of prevention of complications of a diabetes mellitus 2 times a year are recommended to conduct two-month courses.

Features of use:

At a gastrointestinal tract disease it is desirable to accept drug after food.

Use during pregnancy and  during feeding by a breast: as use of drug for this category of patients was not studied, use ^{of Izodibuta®} is possible only if the expected therapeutic effect exceeds possible risk of influence of drug on a fruit and the child.

Side effects:

Drug is usually well transferred. At some patients allergic reactions (skin rash, a small tortoiseshell) are possible. These reactions appear at patients with a polyvalent allergy more often. In these cases drug should be cancelled.

Interaction with other medicines:

^{Изодибут®} exponentiates action angiotropny, antihypertensives, insulin, peroral glucose-lowering drugs, α-lipoic acid of acid, sulfur-containing connections (Natrium thiosulfuricum, Unithiolum).

Contraindications:

Serious illness of kidneys and a liver with the phenomena of their insufficiency. Children's age up to 14 years. Individual hypersensitivity to drug.

Overdose:

At overdose of drug hypoglycemia symptoms are observed. It is necessary to appoint sweet drink, in hard cases — to enter intravenously solution of glucose of 40%.

Storage conditions:

To store in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children, at the room temperature. Period of storage 3 years.
