General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: Framycetinum ml sulfate 1 - 12,5 mg/ml.
Excipients: methylparahydroxybenzoate, sodium chloride, the citric acid, water distilled.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Framycetinum — an antibiotic of group of aminoglycosides for topical administration. The concentration of Framycetinum reached at topical administration provides its bactericidal activity concerning the gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms causing upper respiratory tract infections.

Pharmacokinetics. Researches were not conducted in connection with low system absorption of drug.

Indications to use:

 As a part of a combination therapy at infectious and inflammatory diseases of upper respiratory tracts, including at rhinitis, a nasopharyngitis, sinusitis, at absence of damage of walls of bosoms of a nose; inflammatory processes after operative measures (prevention and treatment).

Route of administration and doses:

The adult — on 1 injection in each nasal course of 4-6 times a day, to children of 1 year — on 1 injection in each nasal course 3 times a day. The bottle at injection should be held vertically, and slightly to incline the head forward to inject drug into the nasal course in the form of spray, but not in the form of a liquid stream. Treatment duration — up to 10 days.

Features of use:

Drug should not be used for washing of adnexal bosoms of a nose. At prolonged use of drug emergence of resistant strains of microorganisms is possible. If within 7 days of treatment the therapeutic effect is absent, drug needs to be cancelled.
 
 
Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms.
Cases of influence on speed of response at control of vehicles or work with other mechanisms are not revealed.

 

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast.
Efficiency and safety of use of drug during pregnancy are studied insufficiently.
 
Perhaps toxic action on the kokhleovestibulyarny device of a fruit. Perhaps system penetration through a mucous membrane therefore this category of patients should not appoint drug.
 
Use of drug during feeding by a breast is not recommended as aminoglycosides get into breast milk.
 
 
Children.
It is applied on doctor's orders to treatment of children 1 years are more senior.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (urticaria, itch) are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is unknown. At use of any other medicines for topical administration it is necessary to report about it to the doctor surely.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity (allergy) to any of drug components, including to Framycetinum and other aminoglikozidny antibiotics. Age till 1 year.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose were not noted.

Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored at a temperature not above 25 °C. A period of validity - 3 years.
