Description:
Atrophic tracheitis (tracheitis – lat.) – option of a chronic inflammation of a mucous membrane of a trachea which is followed by processes of its thinning and an atrophy.
Symptoms of Atrophic tracheitis:
At atrophic tracheitis the mucous membrane of a throat, on the contrary, becomes thinner, sometimes becomes covered by crusts, gaining gray color.
Symptoms – painful, pristupoobrazny, cough, dry or with department of a phlegm, and also pharyngalgia and a breast are characteristic of atrophic chronic tracheitis.
In the absence of treatment chronic atrophic tracheitis is fraught with complications, in particular, distribution of inflammatory process on underlying respiratory tracts with development of bronchial pneumonia and a bronchiolitis. The first is characteristic generally of advanced age, the second – of children.
At the atrophic phenomena at a trachea the mucous membrane becomes thinner, gaining grayish color.
