Itoprid

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 50 mg of an itoprid of a hydrochloride.

Pharmacological properties:

Itoprid possesses antagonistic action on dopamine receptors of D2, and also suppresses splitting of acetylcholine. Activates motility of digestive tract – strengthens a gullet peristaltics, stimulates motility of a stomach, accelerates gastric emptying and improves gastroduodenal coordination.
Along with it also has antiemetichesky properties.

Indications to use:

Drug is intended for treatment of gastrointestinal symptoms of functional not ulcer dyspepsias, such as feeling of abdominal distention, overflow of a stomach, discomfort or painful feelings in the field of an epigastrium, anorexia, heartburn, nausea and vomiting.

Drug is intended for adults.

Route of administration and doses:

Usual dosage for adults — on 1 tablet 3 р / days before food. Tablets should be swallowed entirely, washing down with enough liquid.

Features of use:

Because of lack of clinical data итоприд it is not intended for children, pregnant women and the nursing women. Patients with reduced function of a liver and kidneys have to be under observation of the doctor, and in case of side reactions it is necessary to take the appropriate measures, such as a dose decline of drug or the termination of therapy.

Side effects:

Itoprid in most cases is very well had, side reactions meet seldom. Diarrhea, pains in the field of an epigastrium, headaches, dizziness, skin rash, etc. concern to them.

Interaction with other medicines:

Interaction at the level of P-450 cytochrome is not supposed. Anticholinergic substances reduce efficiency of an itoprid. Use of an itoprid strengthens action of acetylcholine, can cause side cholinergic reactions.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to an itoprid, or to any excipient of drug. Itoprid patients to whom the increased gastrointestinal motility could do harm, for example, at gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction or perforation cannot appoint.

Overdose:

There are no data on overdose.

Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in dry, protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C.
