General characteristics. Structure:

Acting veshchestvo:1 the capsule contains 600 mg of a glycosamine of a hydrochloride and 25,2 mg of ascorbic acid;

excipients: lactose, starch corn, the starch modified glycerin бегенат.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacological. Active ingredient of Artromaks - a glycosamine a hydrochloride is salt aminosakharidy a glycosamine which is a physiological component of an organism and is used as substrate for synthesis of hyaluronic acid in synovial fluid, and also proteoglycans which are a part of a joint cartilage. Thus, drug fills endogenous shortage of a glycosamine, stimulates synthesis of proteoglycans and hyaluronic acid in synovial fluid, showing hondroprotektorny action. Increases permeability of the joint capsule, recovers enzymatic processes in cells of a synovial membrane and a joint cartilage. Antiinflammatory action of a glycosamine of a hydrochloride it is connected with blocking of formation of superoxidic radicals macrophages, and also inhibition of lizosomalny enzymes. Артромакс promotes fixing of sulfur in the course of synthesis of chondroitinsulphuric acid, promotes normal adjournment of calcium in a bone tissue. Drug slows down development of degenerative processes, reduces expressiveness of a joint pain and recovers their function. Prevents possible metabolic injury of a cartilage owing to effect of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NPVS) and glucocorticoids. Unlike NPVP a glycosamine the hydrochloride does not slow down synthesis of prostaglandins. Drug does not influence on cardiovascular, respiratory, central and vegetative nervous systems.

Presence of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) as a part of drug raises its therapeutic effectiveness, increasing collagen synthesis.

 

Pharmacokinetics. Absorption. After intake drug is quickly and completely soaked up. Absorption makes 90%. Bioavailability - 25 - 26%. Distribution. After distribution in fabrics the highest concentration is observed in cartilaginous tissue, a liver and kidneys. Metabolism. Drug is subject effect of the first passing. 70% of the accepted dose are metabolized in a liver. Breaks up to urea, water and carbon dioxide. About 30% of the accepted dose are long persistirut in connecting fabric. Removal (conclusion). The elimination half-life makes about the 70th p. 30 - 40% of drug eliminirut with urine, about 2% - with a stake.

Indications to use:

Degenerative and dystrophic diseases of joints and backbone: osteoarthrosis of various localization (arthrosis of knee and coxofemoral joints), osteochondrosis, spondylarthrosis; osteopathy and chondropathy, chondromalacia; reconvalescence after fractures of bones.

Route of administration and doses:

To adults and children 14 years are more senior than Artromaks appoint inside 1 - 2 capsule 2 - 3 times a day, washing down with a glass of water in 30 - 40 min. prior to food. The minimum duration of a course is 6 weeks. The maximum therapeutic effect is shown within 2 - 3 months use. The clinical effect develops slowly, however the long time after drug withdrawal remains. If necessary the dose can be reduced to 1 - 2 capsules a day. The course of treatment and its duration are defined individually by the doctor, depending on a stage of a disease, expressiveness of a pain syndrome and the reached clinical effect. A repeated course can be conducted in 2 months after drug withdrawal.

Features of use:

With care to apply to patients, inclined to fibrinferments. At the accompanying diabetes mellitus it is necessary to carry out monitoring of level of glucose in a blood plasma.

Ascorbic acid can change results of laboratory tests (level of glucose, bilirubin, transaminases).

During treatment it is necessary to limit the use of carbohydrates, liquids, alcohol intake is contraindicated.

 

Influence on ability to manage the vehicles and moving mechanisms demanding big concentration of attention.

Drug does not influence ability of management of transport and works with difficult mechanisms.

Side effects:

The gastralgia, meteorism, diarrhea, lock are possible; allergic reactions (urticaria, itch).

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use with tetracyclines of Artromaks increases their absorption in digestive tract and vice versa reduces absorption of penicillin and chloramphenicol. Артромакс works synergy with chondroitin and other hondroprotektor. At simultaneous use with NPVP, glyukortikoida, anesthetics requirement can reduce in them. Efficiency of treatment increases at enrichment of a diet vitamin A, salts of manganese, magnesium, copper, selenium and zinc.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components; fenilketonuriya; pregnancy and lactation; age up to 14 years.

Overdose:

It is not described.

Storage conditions:

To store in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C. A period of validity - 2 years.
