Ketoprofen

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 2,5 g of ketoprofen in 30 g of gel.

Excipients: a karbopola 980, alcohol of ethyl 96%, oil lavender, poly(ethylene oxide) 400, diethanol amide, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Renders local antiinflammatory, anti-exudative and analgeziruyushchy action. In the form of gel provides topical treatment of damages of joints, sinews, sheaves, muscles, skin, veins, absorbent vessels and lymph nodes. At a joint syndrome causes weakening of an arthralgia at rest and at the movement, reduction of morning constraint and a swelling of joints. Lizinovy salt of ketoprofen does not exert catabolic impact on a joint cartilage.

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration in the form of gel it is soaked up extremely slowly and practically does not kumulirut in an organism. Bioavailability of gel - about 5%. After application of 50-150 mg of ketoprofen in the form of gel ketoprofen level in plasma makes 0,08-0,15 mkg/ml in 5-8 h after application.

Linkng with proteins of plasma makes 60-90%. The absorbed part of ketoprofen is allocated with kidneys (90% of a dose for 24 h).

Indications to use:

Topical treatment of a pain syndrome at musculoskeletal system diseases (joints and muscles) of a rheumatic or traumatic origin (including stretchings and ruptures of sheaves and sinews of muscles, a tendinitis, a bruise of muscles and sheaves, spasms and injuries of muscles, including a wryneck, lyumbalgiya).

Route of administration and doses:

Gel is applied (the rubbing movements) by 2-3 times a day with a thin layer, with the subsequent long and careful rubbing in in the inflamed or painful body parts. After rubbing in of gel it is possible to apply a dry bandage. It is possible to use at a fonoforeza.

Features of use:

It is necessary to avoid hit of gel on mucous membranes and in eyes.

It is necessary to wash carefully hands after putting gel of ketoprofen.

It is not necessary to subject the field of putting ketoprofen to impact of a sunlight (including in cloudy weather), and also radiation UF throughout the entire period of treatment and two weeks after medicine phase-out.

It is necessary to provide protection of a zone of putting ketoprofen with clothes from impact of a sunlight.

Putting gel of ketoprofen under occlusive bandages is not allowed.

At emergence of the first signs of skin photoallergic reaction it is necessary to stop ketoprofen use immediately.

Use at pregnancy. When using during pregnancy perhaps undesirable influence on lungs and cardiovascular system of a fruit. Use during pregnancy is contraindicated.

Influence on ability to control of motor transport and the work demanding speed of reaction. Does not exert impact on the specified types of activity.

Side effects:

Undesirable reactions at use are extremely rare (frequency less than 1/10000 cases).

Allergic reactions: dermahemia, small tortoiseshell, purpura, itch, violent damages.

Skin reactions: photosensitization, contact eczema, dermatitis.

Dysfunction of digestive tract and kidneys.

Interaction with other medicines:

Use of ketoprofen of gel can strengthen effect and undesirable effect of indirect anticoagulants from group of coumarins (warfarin).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to ketoprofen or components of gel, acetylsalicylic acid, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (including Fernon-Vidal's syndrome: a nepernosimost of acetylsalicylic acid with asthma and urticaria), to a fenofibrat, intensive insolation during gel use, the becoming wet dermatosis, the eczema infected grazes, wounds.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light, at a temperature not above 25 °C. A period of validity - 2 years. Drug should be used before the date specified on packaging.
