General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient - water of the Atlantic Ocean (with the content of salt of 2,6%).
In 100 ml of drug – natural oceanic water of 84,6 ml, the purified water of 15,4 ml.
Inodorous colourless transparent solution.

Pharmacological properties:

Квикс – hypertonic salt solution of local action on the basis of water of the Atlantic Ocean with the optimum content of salt of 2,6%.
Medical effect of drug of Kviks is based on effects of hypertonic salt solution.
Antiedematous action – hypertonic salt solution causes change of concentration of osmotic pressure. Excessive liquid from mucous membranes of nasal bosoms and a nose moves to a nasal cavity and by means of osmotic effect it is possible to reduce considerably puffiness of mucous membranes of upper respiratory tracts that facilitates nasal breath.
Mucolytic action – saline solution strengthens an exudate of an intercellular lymph from intercellular space in a nasal secret, activates mukotsiliarny transport of slime, with simultaneous elimination of microbic and allergic particles.

Minerals and microelements of solution of Kviks improve exchange power processes in a ciliary epithelium mucous a nasal cavity, increase slime fluidifying.
Hypertonic salt solution of oceanic water has direct bactericidal effect that promotes suppression of a local inflammation of a mucous membrane of a nose.
Due to the expressed osmotic action drug maintains optimum humidity mucous at topical administration more effectively, promoting recovery of physiological functions of a nose (raising a local host defense).

Indications to use:

- Rhinitis - acute and chronic process;
- rinosinusit;
- allergic rhinitis;
- preventive use during the periods of high seasonal incidence of acute respiratory infections.

Route of administration and doses:

Aerosol spray with finely divided spraying. At the beginning of use the weak burning sensation is characteristic.
It is allowed for use in all age groups, since 3kh months of life.
Children's age group: to spray 1-2 irrigations locally in each nasal course with an interval of 8 hours (to 2-3 times a day).
Adult age group: to spray 1-3 irrigations locally in each nasal course with an interval of 8 hours (to 2-3 times a day).

Квикс it is allowed for prolonged use. Does not cause accustoming.
Use of spray of Kviks.
Remove an outside cap, before irrigation carry out several pressing a bottle tip cuff, insert into the nasal course and carry out by 1-2 pressing a cuff irrigation, after use process a nozzle tip a napkin and dress a cap.

Features of use:

Considering good eliminative and antiedematous effect, Kviks is applicable for complex treatment at allergic rhinitis. Improves nasal breath and allows to reduce use of vasoconstrictors.
Квикс does not cause development of system side effects that opens a possibility of use of drug for pregnant women.
Allows to reduce incidence of a SARS during the epidemic and interepidemic periods due to improvement of local protection and decrease in antigenic loading of mucous.
It is resolved in children's practice from 3rd month of life.
