General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents:

Cetylpyridinium chloride - 0,500 mg / 0,250 g

Pantocain a hydrochloride - 0,034 mg / 0,017 g

Zinc sulfate monohydrate - 2,746 mg / 1,373 g

Excipients: глицерол 85% – 80,000 mg / 40,000 g; ethanol of 96% – 60,000 mg / 30,000 g; sucrose – 30,400 mg / 15,200 g; mint fragrance – 2,000 mg / 1,000 g; eucalyptus oil – 1,000 mg / 0,500 g; honey fragrance – 0,200 mg / 0,100 g; the water purified – to 200 mg / to 100 g.

Pharmacological properties:

НОВОСЕПТ® FORTE possesses the bactericidal, antifungal, mestnoobezbolivayushchy action caused by its active components:

Cetylpyridinium chloride – an antiseptic agent from group of quarternary ammonium connections, belongs to cationic detergents. Possesses bactericidal action concerning a wide range gram-positive and, to a lesser extent, gram-negative bacteria. Antimicrobic activity cetylpyridinium of chloride is caused by its nonspecific interaction with various components of a bacterial cell: a membrane, ribosomes, proteins and enzymes therefore are broken osmotic balance, breath, carbohydrate and protein metabolism, and all this leads to death of a bacterium. Cetylpyridinium chloride suppresses also some groups of viruses and mushrooms. It is inactive against bacterial spores.

Pantocain a hydrochloride – effective mestnoanesteziruyushchy remedy, quickly takes off or reduces effects of pain.

Zinc – oligoelements, possesses immunomodulatory action.

Indications to use:

Topical treatment of inflammations of mucous membranes of an oral cavity and throat: stomatitises, ulites, tonsillitis, pharyngitises.

Route of administration and doses:

Locally. Drug is sprayed on a mucous membrane of an oral cavity and a throat at breath holding.
Adults: on 3 injections on reception of 4-6 times a day with an interval of 2 hours.
The usual course of treatment – is no more than five days.

Features of use:

If the disease is followed by high temperature, a headache, nausea, and also if no improvement within five days from an initiation of treatment is observed, it is necessary to see a doctor.
Prolonged treatment (more than 5 days) can cause disturbance of balance of natural microflora of an oral cavity and throat with risk of development of pathogenic bacteriums and mushrooms.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (urticaria, itch, acute anaphylaxis, swallowing disturbance) are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

The medicines inhibiting cholinesterase (anti-myasthenic, cyclophosphamide, демекариум, ecothioveils, insecticides, изофлурафат, Thiotepum), reduce metabolism of pantocain of a hydrochloride and increase its toxicity.
At a concomitant use with anticoagulants (далтепарин, эноксапарин, heparin, warfarin) the risk of development of bleedings increases.
When using with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (furasolidone, Procarbazinum, селегилин) the risk of a lowering of arterial pressure increases.
Pantocain the hydrochloride strengthens and extends effect of myorelaxation medicines.
Beta adrenoblockers slow down hydrochloride pantocain metabolism, increasing its toxicity (decrease in size of a hepatic blood-groove).
Zinc is incompatible with silver salts, quinine, Ichthyolum, citral (forms badly soluble compounds), with shchelochnoreagiruyushchy substances (forms oxide zinc hydrate), with protargol (is exposed to coagulation).
Zinc reduces absorption of tetracyclines, copper (it is necessary to apply not earlier than 2 h after reception of these medicines).
Thiazide diuretics strengthen removal of zinc with urine.
Folic acid can break zinc absorption in small degree.
High doses of iron, Penicillaminum and other complexing medicines considerably reduce zinc absorption (have to be applied not earlier than 2 h after reception of these medicines).
Cetylpyridinia it is not compatible to anionic surfactants.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, local anesthetics, disturbance of integrity of mucous membranes, an acute renal or liver failure, pregnancy, the lactation period, children's age up to 18 years.

Overdose:

Symptoms: vomiting, pallor of integuments, bradycardia, oppression of a respiratory center, apnoea. In case of overdose it is necessary to cancel НОВОСЕПТ® FORTE and to see a doctor.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C.
